Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on security engineering experience, ideally in a cloud-first SaaS environment.
- Experience in a fast-growing startup or scale-up company.
- Deep technical expertise in AWS and/or GCP cloud security (IAM, networking, compute, storage, logging).
- Expertise in Kubernetes security (hardening, isolation, runtime security, policies) and container ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of DevOps security fundamentals (CI/CD, secrets management, artifact integrity).
- Proficiency in incident response, including creating playbooks and automating response.
- Strong programming/scripting skills in Python or similar languages.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
- Experience with endpoint security tooling such as CrowdStrike.
Responsibilities
- Build and own technical security improvements across cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
- Design, implement, and iterate on detection and response capabilities including SIEM, EDR/MDR, and CNAPP.
- Hunt, investigate, and respond to security alerts and suspicious activity end-to-end.
- Develop internal security tooling and automations using IaC and scripts to reduce toil.
- Ship production changes to security systems and infrastructure when needed.
