Requirements
- 5+ years in DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
- Meaningful professional experience on AWS.
- Production Kubernetes experience, specifically EKS.
- Strong proficiency in Terraform and infrastructure as code principles.
- Proven experience executing real database migrations or provider cutovers.
- Proficiency with Linux, containers, and GitOps workflows.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, Bash, or similar.
- Ability to debug application issues across the stack.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails is nice to have.
- Experience with FinOps or cloud cost optimization is a plus.
- Background in regulated industries (ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, or GDPR) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Run and evolve multi-region AWS and EKS platform, managed as code in Terraform and deployed through ArgoCD.
- Own CI/CD across repositories on CircleCI and GitHub Actions.
- Lead infrastructure migrations end-to-end, including containerizing applications and performing database migrations.
- Manage PostgreSQL and RDS at production scale including upgrades, sizing, and performance tuning.
- Maintain Ruby on Rails runtime performance and framework updates.
- Own cloud cost management including rightsizing and financial reporting.
- Run disaster recovery testing and incident readiness drills.
