Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks including Workflows and Unity Catalog.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (S3, IAM, KMS, VPC, Secrets Manager).
- Proven experience in at least one large-scale data or platform migration.
- Proficiency in SQL, with additional experience in SQL Server or PostgreSQL preferred.
- Hands-on expertise in Spark and PySpark for data transformation.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform.
- Fluency in Polish.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-team environments.
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer or AWS certifications (Analytics/Solutions Architect) are nice to have.
Responsibilities
- Build batch and near real-time data pipelines using Spark and PySpark.
- Manage and optimize Delta Lake operations including ACID, partitioning, and Z-Ordering.
- Design and maintain AWS infrastructure using S3, IAM, KMS, and VPC.
- Execute data migration projects involving SQL Server or PostgreSQL to Databricks.
- Implement data governance through Unity Catalog, access controls, and data lineage.
- Automate deployment and infrastructure using CI/CD and Terraform.
- Monitor pipeline performance, SLA/SLO adherence, and handle incident response.
