Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience with personal fundraising.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft software applications (Word, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, events, and coaching appointments simultaneously.
- Leadership skills including problem solving and strong conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse team environment.
- Ability to hold people accountable and have difficult conversations.
- Ability to lift at least 35 pounds.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Agreement with InterVarsity’s Statement of Agreement and Code of Conduct.
Responsibilities
- Train staff in MPD core practices, including the MPD cycle (Identify, Engage, Ask, Follow up, Thank, Report) and DonorElf organization.
- Coach new and veteran staff to full funding through weekly calls using the GROW model and situational leadership.
- Identify individual skill gaps and offer contextualized training for diverse staff needs.
- Provide pastoral care and address emotional or spiritual blocks to fundraising success.
- Collaborate with the national MPD coach team to monitor, test, and update best practices.
- Maintain a personal ministry budget by raising 100% of funding annually.
