Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on production experience building, securing, and scaling web applications using Flask and modern Python (3.10+).
- Deep understanding of WSGI/ASGI servers (Gunicorn, uWSGI), Flask application factories, blueprints, and context managers.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise backend systems, design patterns, and RESTful web services.
- Expert knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), schema design, query optimization, and SQLAlchemy with Alembic.
- Experience using Redis for session management and caching.
- Solid experience handling asynchronous tasks and background jobs using Celery with Redis or RabbitMQ.
- Daily experience using Docker, container management, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Strong grounding in web security best practices (OWASP Top 10, JWT, OAuth2, CORS) and automated testing frameworks (pytest).
- Located in the CET timezone (+/- 3 hours).
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable REST APIs and backend architectures using Flask, ensuring clean separation of concerns and modular blueprints.
- Audit and optimize database queries, request-response lifecycles, and caching policies to ensure low latency and continuous platform uptime.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and internal microservices using secure webhooks and message queues.
- Maintain high test coverage using pytest, perform code reviews, and implement strict security protocols for user authentication and authorization.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to containerize applications, manage environment configurations, and streamline deployment workflows.
