Requirements
- Juris Doctor or Master of Laws degree from an accredited US law school.
- Bilingual proficiency in Portuguese.
- 1-2 years of experience with EB1, EB2-NIW, O-1, and RFE filings.
- High-level organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptability to learn across various legal practice areas.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume caseloads.
Responsibilities
- Prepare legal strategies, cover letters, and petitions for immigrant and non-immigrant cases.
- Develop expert-level understanding of client cases, including EB1, EB2-NIW, O-1, and RFE responses.
- Research legal issues and stay current on immigration legislation changes.
- Explain complex legal terminology to clients and foreign nationals.
- Provide training to clients on substantive legal topics and updates.
- Assess eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for visa status.
- Prepare petitions and applications for submission to the Department of Labor and USCIS.
- Supervise paralegal staff in document preparation and record keeping.
