Requirements
- 1-3 years of professional experience in IT, systems administration, help desk, or network operations.
- Proficiency in Linux command line operations.
- Scripting ability in Bash and Python.
- Demonstrated interest in security through coursework, home labs, or competitions.
- Ability to work independently and maintain methodical work habits.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience/certifications).
- Working knowledge of Linux system administration (e.g., RHEL/Rocky Linux, Ubuntu).
- Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, firewalls).
- Familiarity with containerization and version control (Git).
- Clear written communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Implement assigned security controls across Kubernetes, Linux, database, and model-serving environments.
- Build and operate monitoring and detection coverage, including metrics, dashboards, and log aggregation.
- Perform vulnerability scanning across container images, hosts, and applications, tracking findings to closure.
- Write and maintain automation for hardening baselines using Ansible and Python.
- Manage secrets, network policies, and role-based access control.
- Build deterministic collectors to gather and normalize security control evidence.
- Help develop internal AI tooling for security catalog retrieval and finding triage.
- Maintain security documentation and prepare materials for reviews and continuous monitoring reports.
