Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of industry experience in large-scale distributed systems.
- 5+ years of hands-on, professional software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages (Go, Python, Ruby, Java, C++).
- Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, gRPC, and Thrift.
- Experience with distributed caching layers and large-scale data storage systems like Redis.
- Familiarity with image processing technologies and formats (e.g., JPEG, WebP).
- Familiarity with streaming protocols (HLS, MPEG-DASH, MP4) and video compression standards (H.264, H.265, VP9, AV1).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to deliver projects on schedule.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to execute on media product strategy.
- Contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, test, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
- Review code and design documentation while providing feedback on product specs and mocks.
- Contribute to standards that improve developer workflows and mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate with client and platform engineers to optimize media performance for global content delivery.
