- Proven track record managing complex projects from vision to sustainable process.
- Experience developing editorial strategy and audience growth.
- Deep knowledge of America’s education story and curiosity about its future.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Editor in Chief to set and execute the editorial vision for the newsroom.
- Oversee several local bureaus and reporting teams to drive impact.
- Coach leaders on setting and achieving goals while supporting professional growth.
- Support the implementation of the Civic News Academy.
- Lead high-priority initiatives such as impact tracking, AI strategy development, and geographic expansion.
- Collaborate with growth and community teams to expand audience engagement.
- Ensure enterprise projects are compelling and well-executed.
- Represent organizational priorities as a newsroom leader.
