Requirements
- Current certification as a peer support specialist.
- Certification or formal qualification as a peer support supervisor, or an equivalent recognized supervisory credential.
- Documented supervised peer support experience.
- Lived experience of recovery from a mental health condition, a substance use disorder, or both.
- Lived experience with the justice system.
- Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading peer specialists or a comparable team.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to supply own reliable internet, private confidential workspace, and video-capable device.
Responsibilities
- Provide peer supervision and ongoing support to a team of certified peer support specialists delivering virtual services.
- Monitor service quality, peer boundaries, and adherence to program standards.
- Coach specialists and support their growth.
- Support accurate, timely documentation and reporting across the team through the program's secure system.
- Serve as the escalation point for coverage, scheduling, and participant-need questions.
- Coordinate with program management on staffing coverage, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Help onboard and orient new specialists.
