Requirements
- Native English proficiency.
- Master’s degree, PhD, or professional degree in Earth or Environmental Science.
- Significant experience working in or editing papers in the field.
- Documented current or former affiliation with an accredited, not-for-profit, college or university with selective admission policies.
- University classes must be conducted primarily in English.
- Must be based in the United States.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Ability to work autonomously.
Responsibilities
- Edit scholarly manuscripts originally written by non-native English speakers.
- Partner with AI and automation tools to manage manuscript preparation.
- Check automated edits for accuracy and reject incorrect changes.
- Make substantive edits based on field-specific expertise.
- Select manuscripts based on areas of expertise via the AJE platform.
