Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental, mechanical, or chemical engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • At least 8 years of air quality program and project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience with air quality regulations.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
  • Advanced degree in engineering is preferred.
  • Professional registration such as P.E. or C.I.H. is preferred.
  • Regional visibility through involvement in professional associations or trade organizations is preferred.
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers are preferred.
  • Ability to travel overnight and perform field work as required.
  • Must be able to pass health and safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business development, project management, and technical delivery for air quality projects including emissions quantification, climate change programs, and environmental impact assessments.
  • Provide technical leadership on regulatory analyses related to the Clean Air Act, GHG reporting, and air permitting such as NSR, PSD, and Title V.
  • Maintain market visibility through regular client contact, industry event attendance, and professional organization participation.
  • Manage projects and teams, providing technical oversight, risk management, and mentoring to staff.
  • Collaborate with the Environmental Resources and Planning Service Line on energy-related NEPA tasks.
  • Support the development and planning of new and modified facilities with integrated environmental consulting and construction support.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of new staff members.
