Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 2 years of industry/freight forwarding experience OR 3 years of related customer service experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong analytical skills including understanding of margins, CWT, and density calculations.
- Ability to develop creative solutions for logistics problems without immediate supervision.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with proper business etiquette.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of world geography.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and with diverse cultures.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee household goods relocations.
- Manage customer expectations, handle inquiries, and ensure high service quality scores.
- Coordinate logistics, pricing, and movement details with steamship lines, port brokers, and truckers.
- Generate accurate door-to-door, port-to-door, or door-to-port rate quotes.
- Manage shipment profitability, margin, and vendor rate negotiations.
- Settle invoice disputes and cost exceptions through research and vendor communication.
- Maintain move documentation, revenue, and expense data in internal workflow systems.
- Initiate claims and support customers through the filing process.
