Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 8+ years of software development experience (or 6+ years with a Master's degree).
- Proven experience designing, coding, testing, and debugging applications.
- Proficiency in Go; experience with Python or C++ is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design principles.
- Experience with backend frameworks, APIs, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and optimize high-performance Go services powering USPS shipping.
- Refactor legacy systems and design cloud-native services using Azure, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate requirements into robust architecture.
- Participate in peer reviews, mentor teammates, and implement Go best practices like gRPC and microservices patterns.
- Troubleshoot production issues in high-throughput, low-latency environments.
- Create technical documentation for future scalability and maintenance.
- Build and execute automated unit, integration, and performance tests.
