- Pursue new and targeted accounts to drive sales growth in the assigned region.
- Achieve annual sales plan objectives for volume and MSP profitability, and pursue contingency plans for expected shortfalls.
- Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers to generate business for Prime’s sourced products.
- Make regular telephone calls and in-person visits to existing and prospective customers, and organize office and travel time effectively.
- Provide accurate company introductions during initial visits and prospecting.
- Submit weekly written reports on area market sentiment, offers and availability, news, requirements, and other relevant information.
- Lead commercial development of new products in the area and prepare area and monthly Performance Polymers forecasts.
- Follow the Claim Management Process to address quality and service problems and ensure account managers take ownership and follow up.
- Work with logistics, finance, the Business Director, Product Manager, and Technical Managers to meet customer expectations, qualify leads, and manage the sales pipeline.
- Track competitor activity and manage territory inventory turns and freight, finance, storage, demurrage, and other logistics costs.
