  • Support each stage of the investment process, including business development and screening, negotiations, due diligence and presentation to the investment committee
  • Conduct initial assessments of target companies, markets, and regions to determine alignment with WaterEquity’s investment thesis
  • Support origination efforts, and support in managing client relationships during the deal process
  • Play a key role in due diligence processes, including coordination with internal teams, external consultants, and potential clients
  • Conduct financial, ESG, and impact analysis, including financial modeling and credit assessment
  • Prepare investment documentation and presentation for the Investment Committee, detailing strategic rationale, financial projections, risks, and impact potential
  • Monitor the financial and operational performance of portfolio companies
  • Support management of covenant breaches, watch-list investments or problem cases
  • Track country, market, and sector risks relevant to the portfolio
  • Support coordination with parent company, Water.org, in the delivery of water and sanitation technical assistance to investment candidates
  • Work closely with Principal, Financial Institutions Investments, to refine strategies, process, and analytical tools
  • Provide broad, flexible support to the team as needed across transactions, portfolio management, and cross‑functional initiatives
