Senior Associate, Financial Institutions

Support each stage of the investment process, including business development and screening, negotiations, due diligence and presentation to the investment committee
Conduct initial assessments of target companies, markets, and regions to determine alignment with WaterEquity’s investment thesis
Support origination efforts, and support in managing client relationships during the deal process
Play a key role in due diligence processes, including coordination with internal teams, external consultants, and potential clients
Conduct financial, ESG, and impact analysis, including financial modeling and credit assessment
Prepare investment documentation and presentation for the Investment Committee, detailing strategic rationale, financial projections, risks, and impact potential
Monitor the financial and operational performance of portfolio companies
Support management of covenant breaches, watch-list investments or problem cases
Track country, market, and sector risks relevant to the portfolio
Support coordination with parent company, Water.org, in the delivery of water and sanitation technical assistance to investment candidates
Work closely with Principal, Financial Institutions Investments, to refine strategies, process, and analytical tools
Provide broad, flexible support to the team as needed across transactions, portfolio management, and cross‑functional initiatives
