Requirements:

• A Juris doctor or the international equivalent degree and qualifications are required.
• A minimum of six (6) years of experience in corporate transactional work, particularly in contract negotiation.
• At least four (4) years of experience in equity transactions, especially in project finance and infrastructure.
• Experience in legal, compliance, or financial environments, preferably in management consultancy or financial services.
• Proven project management experience in collaboration with legal counsel.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient analytical skills for compliance and business risk assessment.
• Adaptability to a dynamic work environment.
• Comfortable with remote work and collaboration across geographic locations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full lifecycle of debt and equity investment transactions related to water and sanitation infrastructure financing.
• Lead coverage of infrastructure equity transactions for projects and growth companies.
• Manage legal processes for debt transactions associated with financial institutions.
• Manage external deal counsel and review investment documentation.
• Act as the primary liaison among transaction parties for effective communication.
• Partner with investment managers to address legal risks in contract negotiations.
• Analyze regulatory changes affecting contracts to ensure compliance.
• Conduct assessments of laws and regulations in target fund countries.
• Monitor new legal developments in project countries.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing policies for compliance.
