VP Data (f/m/d)

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in data management, analytics or data science roles, with a focus on fintech or SaaS
• 4+ years of leadership experience, preferable in a fast-growing environment, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making & scaling data teams
• Proficient in data analytics with SQL and Python, with experience in DuckDB and Parquet being a plus
• Expertise in machine learning frameworks and know how to bring ML applications into production
• Experience with modern data stack architectures, including Storage: GBQ, Snowflake, Databricks; Integration: Airbyte, Fivetran; Transformation: dbt; Orchestration: Dagster, Airflow
• Understand data architectures that can handle high-volume data pipelines and analytics
• Can translate complex data findings into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders
• Good understanding of the fintech landscape, with a particular experience with funding solutions and SaaS being a plus
• Familiar with compliance considerations related to financial data and GDPR

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement a data strategy aligned with re:cap's mission to provide cutting-edge funding solutions and automate financial operations
• Build data products that are tightly integrated into our customer-facing applications together with our Engineering team
• Manage the development and deployment of machine learning models and AI solutions to automate financial operations for our customers and generate insights
• Improve data quality processes and establish robust data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with financial regulations
• Provide strategic guidance to founders and board members on data-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and market opportunities
• Engage with key stakeholders across the organization to understand their data needs and ensure that data initiatives support their objectives
• Lead our teams of data engineers, data scientists, and financial data specialists to derive actionable insights that enhance product offerings and customer experiences
• Work closely with our Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams to integrate data solutions into our SaaS platform and funding products
