Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial insurance. Strong preference for experience in commercial auto and/or transportation
  • 8+ years of field sales and/or program marketing experience
  • 2+ years experience leading a team
  • Clear track record of over-achieving targets
  • Executive presence and strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Bias-to-action - you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty and stretch yourself
  • Owner mentality - take accountability for your actions and results

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Business Development Managers
  • Develop and drive strategic growth plans for a portfolio of agencies understanding market trends and the competitive landscape
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with agency leadership to align on growth strategies and establish production targets.
  • Design and implement incentive programs that motivate agencies to achieve or exceed targets.
  • Oversee the creation, negotiation, and renewal of contracts and agreements with agencies.
  • Ensure all agency activities and agreements comply with regulatory requirements, coordinating with the legal team as necessary.
  • Lead business reviews with agency leadership to include analysis of account KPIs, progress on growth initiatives and status of premium goal achievement.
  • Conduct training sessions for agents and brokers to ensure they understand and adhere to underwriting guidelines.
  • Serve as the primary contact for resolving issues such as billing or other operational concerns.
  • Represent Nirvana at transportation conferences, associations, seminars, broker and client meetings to foster relationships and promote Nirvana.
  • Lead internal efforts to drive profitable growth, partner with insurance product and engineering teams to prioritize initiatives that will support agency partnerships.
  • Refine Nirvana’s messaging and positioning in the market
