General Ledger Accounting Manager

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP).
• Experience in a technology-driven or virtual environment.
• Proven ability to lead a team and work cross-functionally with other departments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Adaptability and a forward-thinking mindset in an evolving, digital-first landscape.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Work closely with internal teams to ensure that all financial data is accurate, timely, and aligned with company goals.
• Manage account reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts, ensuring that discrepancies are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations, including automation opportunities, and ensure that the accounting system can scale with company growth in the metaverse industry.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and internal reviews.
• Work closely with other departments such as FP&A, tax, and legal to ensure financial transactions are correctly recorded and aligned with business operations.
• Lead and mentor a team of accountants, ensuring proper training, development, and performance management. Promote a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and adaptability within the team.
• Collaborate with the metaverse development and digital assets teams to ensure accurate financial tracking of virtual assets, in-game transactions, NFTs, cryptocurrency, and other digital revenue streams.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financial data is accurate and complete.
