Requirements:
  • 3+ years managing software engineering teams, including responsibilities like hiring, performance management, and career development.
  • 5+ years of experience in front-end and/or mobile development, with a strong understanding of modern frameworks, state management, and performance optimization.
  • Proven track record of shipping mobile apps, including familiarity with deployment processes for the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable, component-driven front-end systems and well-structured back-end services, ensuring maintainability and performance.
  • Solid understanding of front-end build tools (Webpack, Gradle, Xcode, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
  • Proven ability to manage remote, distributed teams with strong asynchronous communication skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication to effectively convey complex ideas and align team efforts.
  • A high level of self-direction, autonomy, and responsibility in leading teams and driving projects forward.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead, Mentor, and Grow: Guide a distributed team of 6–8 skilled engineers, supporting their technical success, career development, and personal growth. Provide mentorship and coaching to help team members achieve their full potential.
  • Deliver Excellence: Plan and execute high-quality engineering solutions that align with business and technical goals.
  • Architect and Optimize: Drive best practices in front-end and mobile architecture, ensuring modularity, reusability, and performance optimization.
  • Shape the Roadmap: Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define and execute the vision for Ditto’s no-code platform and Customer Portal.
  • Deploy and Maintain Mobile Apps: Oversee the development and deployment of iOS and Android applications, ensuring smooth submission processes to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  • Foster Culture: Set an example by cultivating a culture of trust, collaboration, and continual improvement aligned with Ditto’s core values.
