Requirements:
- 2–5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or tax compliance, preferably in the cryptocurrency or blockchain industry.
- Strong understanding of crypto accounting, blockchain transactions, and tax implications.
- Prior work experience at Koinly, CoinTracker, TokenTax, or similar platforms is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in crypto accounting software, general ledger systems, and tools like QuickBooks or NetSuite.
- Ability to track and reconcile large volumes of crypto transactions with precision.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret blockchain transaction data.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; CPA, CFA, or similar certifications are a plus but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate daily financial records for cryptocurrency transactions, including tracking gains, losses, and cost basis.
- Reconcile crypto wallets, exchange accounts, and on-chain transactions with financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with global cryptocurrency tax regulations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing journal entries and financial reports.
- Work closely with internal teams to improve crypto accounting processes and implement best practices.
- Stay up to date with evolving crypto tax laws and accounting standards.
- Assist in audits by providing supporting documentation for crypto transactions and financial records.
