Senior Power Electronics Control Engineer

Requirements:
- BSc/MSc/PhD degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in applying modern control theory to Power Electronics applications.
- Experience with simulation tools such as PSCAD, Spice, SIMetrix, Simulink, or PLECS.
- Practical knowledge of implementing digital control systems for Power Electronics converters (based on DSP & FPGAs) and test systems using LabView, signal generators, and data acquisition equipment.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment, converter prototyping, and testing.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to workplace safety guidelines.
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and a desire to learn about new technologies.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, as this role is part of a global business environment.
Responsibilities:
- Be part of the design process from idea generation and simulation to circuit design, control system development, prototyping, and verification of converter products.
- Lead the development and implementation of digital closed-loop control systems for new Power Electronic converter platforms.
- Model and simulate converters, selecting optimal control strategies for various topologies.
- Develop hardware control circuits and establish system limits for control applications.
- Validate control strategies through proof-of-concept and functional prototype testing, setting up appropriate test systems.
- Support a fast, iterative design process in a cross-functional, dedicated team.
- Use fast prototyping and lab mockups to accelerate learning and achieve results quickly.
- Work in modern laboratories, bringing up prototypes, and evaluating design limits.
- Reporting to the R&D Manager, you will also collaborate with global R&D teams to drive advancements in converter design and validation.
