Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in EHR/EMR integration in a US healthcare product company.
- Strong expertise in HL7 v2.x, HL7 FHIR, CDA, X12, DICOM messaging standards.
- Hands-on experience with Mirth Connect (NextGen Connect) for message transformation, routing, and scripting.
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python, or Groovy for interface development.
- Experience working with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL) and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with FHIR APIs, RESTful APIs, and web services.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance, data security, and PHI handling.
- Experience with cloud-based healthcare solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain EHR/EMR integrations using HL7 v2, HL7 FHIR, CDA, and other interoperability standards.
- Configure and customize Mirth Connect (NextGen Connect) to process and route healthcare messages.
- Design and implement API-based and interface engine-based integrations for data exchange with hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare providers.
- Work with RESTful and SOAP APIs, databases (SQL, NoSQL), and file-based data exchange mechanisms.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other US healthcare data security regulations.
- Collaborate with product managers, healthcare IT teams, and EHR vendors to understand requirements and deliver robust integration solutions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize message processing pipelines for performance and accuracy.
- Stay updated on evolving healthcare interoperability standards and implement best practices.
