Requirements:

• Strong, demonstrated experience with OpenTelemetry, including the collector, semantic standards, OTLP, or SDK development.
• Substantial technical experience from various disciplines such as testing, software development, system integration, SRE, monitoring, observability, or operations.
• Effective communication skills with patience and adaptability to different levels of experience.
• A collaborative mindset thriving in a culture of learning and sharing.
• A background in a technical field (e.g., BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience).
• Technical writing skills demonstrated through past written work.
• Presentation skills from past speaking experiences.
• Willingness to travel 30% of the time.

Responsibilities:

• Creating technical content to educate and empower developers & SREs, including sample applications, presentations, blog posts, and other materials.
• Acting as an ally and colleague for external practitioners getting started.
• Building relationships across the Grafana & OTel communities to support & inspire.
• Providing feedback on products to improve community-user feedback loops.
