Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a UX practitioner with a focus on customer discovery and research
  • Keep a pulse on emerging cultural trends and technology, and hold a developed point of view about your work
  • Proven ability to surface and articulate human-centered insight to answer business questions
  • Ability to design storyboards and build and use prototypes to craft compelling stories to test and receive feedback on product direction
  • Deep knowledge and expertise across design methodologies and clear dedication to being a champion of design and design thinking
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members and leaders who may not speak design natively
  • Ability to intake insights and quickly move from wireframes to high-fidelity prototype
  • Ability to juggle time and deliverables between different products at different stages
  • Strong presentation skills with a creative and compelling storytelling style
  • Proficient in design and prototyping tools like Illustrator, Figma, Invision, Photoshop, InVision, and InDesign
  • Ability to travel (up to 25%)
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Fieldbook Studio team in discovering underlying patterns and problems, with the ability to relate them to customers within the retail value chain, understand the underlying and sometimes hidden desires, needs, and challenges of end users
  • Support with the creation of design-research artifacts, such as user journey maps, user/buyer personas, low-fidelity prototypes and wireframes, and user requirement docs
  • Iterate on the concept using feedback from customer interviews, being able to understand whether a solution solves the problem
  • Participate in Sprint Week through co-creation of initial brand identity, sales and pitch decks, and mid-to-high fidelity product screens
  • Ideate and begin the naming process, working closely with team members to identify viable naming options for new companies
  • Understand user/customer preferences for new brands: color psychology, brands they enjoy, things that will turn them off
  • Create initial brand identity for new companies, including colors, typography, logos
  • Work with Fieldbook’s CTO to populate a design backlog for a new co-launch
  • Work with Fieldbook’s EIRs and CTO to design the new co’s MVP focusing on both the UX and UI of the product
  • Support Fieldbook EIRs by creating brand assets for newcos including, but not limited to, sales and pitch decks, signage, company stationary, marketing materials, and brand swag
  • Iterate on Fieldbook’s product based on UI/UX feedback from customers
