US Senior Accountant (Work From Home)

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a US-based company or handling US clients.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and accrual-based accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills are a must (HLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, CHOOSE, etc.).
• Experience in account reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar).
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with international teams.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure financial statements comply with US GAAP principles, including accrual basis accounting, matching principles, and revenue recognition.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Perform variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies in financial reports.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure proper journal entries.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions (HLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, CHOOSE, etc.) for data analysis and reporting.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including adjusting journal entries.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
• Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance financial operations.
