Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably supporting UK accounting firms or clients.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of UK accounting principles, VAT regulations, and payroll processes.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office setup.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions for multiple clients including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare client financial statements such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Track VAT calculations and submissions, provide support for tax return preparation.
• Assist with payroll processing including PAYE, National Insurance, and pension contributions, ensuring compliance with UK laws.
• Liaise with clients and accounting firm staff to gather necessary financial information and respond to inquiries.
• Suggest and implement improvements to streamline bookkeeping processes.
