Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in international accounting, preferably in a multinational corporation.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
  • Experience with ERP/procurement systems (e.g., NetSuite, Coupa) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a global team environment.
  • Well-organized with good accounting logic.
  • Fluency in English and French (written and spoken).
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll entries/reconciliation, and general ledger activities.
  • Prepare and analyze accurate financial statements and reports for international subsidiaries in compliance with local GAAP and IFRS.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for international entities.
  • Monitor compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and local accounting teams to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Manage VAT/GST/sales taxes filings, corporate tax returns, and other regulatory submissions.
  • Oversee multi-currency transactions and coordinate intercompany reconciliations.
  • Develop and implement best practices for international accounting processes and systems.
  • Partner with leaders and peers for high-quality work and collaboration.
