Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in international accounting, preferably in a multinational corporation.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
- Experience with ERP/procurement systems (e.g., NetSuite, Coupa) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a global team environment.
- Well-organized with good accounting logic.
- Fluency in English and French (written and spoken).
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll entries/reconciliation, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and analyze accurate financial statements and reports for international subsidiaries in compliance with local GAAP and IFRS.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for international entities.
- Monitor compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and local accounting teams to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Manage VAT/GST/sales taxes filings, corporate tax returns, and other regulatory submissions.
- Oversee multi-currency transactions and coordinate intercompany reconciliations.
- Develop and implement best practices for international accounting processes and systems.
- Partner with leaders and peers for high-quality work and collaboration.
