Requirements:

• B.S., M.S. or PhD in engineering or physics or optical engineering and sciences.
• 10+ years of experience in lens and optical system design.
• Industry experience in lens manufacturing.
• Expertise in lens design for digital cameras, automotive, security or mobile.
• Strong knowledge of specifying lens design parameters.
• Experience testing and characterizing lens performance.
• Experience in designing optical front-ends for camera systems.
• International vendor management experience.
• Strong communication skills (English Required).

Responsibilities:

• Own all aspects of lens design, innovation, qualification, release to production, manufacturing support.
• Define and simulate detailed optical requirements based on future product needs.
• Analyze lens prescriptions to provide guidance to vendors on optical performance and manufacturability.
• Supervise prototype and production lens testing to validate performance.
• Develop and manage internal processes to streamline design efforts and encourage innovation.
• Manage relationships with lens vendors for performance requirements and budget.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure product excellence.
• Create new solutions in optics for consumer digital imaging.
