Claims Manager - Professional Liability (Dental)

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in dental or medical professional liability claims.
• Bachelor’s degree required; J.D. and professional designations like RPLU preferred.
• All required state claim adjuster licenses must be possessed or obtainable within 90 days of hire.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Exceptional time management, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable in a paperless claims environment and proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a remote environment and willingness to travel (approx. 10-15%).

Responsibilities:

• Complete accurate and timely investigations into coverage, liability, and damages for each assigned claim.
• Actively manage claims for timely and cost-effective resolutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with policyholders, brokers, and carrier partners.
• Direct and monitor expert and outside counsel assignments.
• Support data collection efforts using the Counterpart claim system.
• Identify and escalate insights into emerging claims trends.
• Provide user-level feedback for continuous improvement in claims processes.
