Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent European certification preferred.
• At least 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including 5 years in a managerial position within midsize European companies.
• Solid understanding of European accounting standards (IFRS, local GAAP) and VAT regulations.
• Excellent English communication skills for presenting complex information.
• Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting functions including GL management, monthly and annual closings, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS/local GAAP.
• Analyze financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with other departments.
• Ensure compliance with European financial regulations and implement internal controls.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a growth-oriented environment.
• Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives.
