Requirements:

• Must hold an AIS 15 Coding Certification.
• At least 6 months of experience abstracting in the Trauma Registry.
• Exposure to multiple patient medical record systems and clinical databases.
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in learning new technology.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver quality solutions to hospital partners through data abstraction and clinical quality data management.
• Categorize, code, summarize, and interpret registry/case information from patient medical records.
• Perform data collection and reporting on eligible Trauma cases under state mandates.
• Ensure quality submission of data in registries, maintaining high accuracy.
• Support ACS Accreditation and stay updated on regulatory data requirements.
• Engage in educational opportunities and contribute to process improvement.
