Requirements:

• Must have AIS 15 Coding Certification.
• At least 6 months of experience abstracting in the Trauma Registry at any Trauma Level.
• Exposure to patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.
• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with multiple patient medical record systems and clinical databases.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Technically savvy and interested in learning new systems and technology.
• Organized and skilled at managing time across multiple accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Become part of the team during a growth milestone, leveraging Trauma registry experience.
• Deliver quality solutions to hospital partners nationwide while applying expertise with precision.
• Categorize, code, summarize, interpret, and mine registry/case information from patient medical records.
• Perform data collection and reporting on eligible Trauma cases under current mandates.
• Ensure quality submission of all data in specified registries, maintaining a high accuracy threshold.
• Support partners' ACS Accreditation and utilize NTDB/TQIP tools for quality patient care.
• Engage in on-the-job learning and continuing education opportunities.
• Stay updated on regulatory/publicly reported data requirements.
• Contribute to best practices and process improvement opportunities.
