Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA working on software projects or complex health systems.
• Previous programming experience using shell scripts for automation.
• Active Security+ certification preferred.
• Experience in a federal government agency environment preferred.
• Previous leadership experience highly desired.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, deploy, and secure Oracle databases while identifying enhancements.
• Perform maintenance on application configuration files and kernel parameters.
• Automate system deployments and integrations using best orchestration practices.
• Secure database environments according to NIST and DHA standards.
• Assist with training and presentations on IT applications and government procedures.
• Synthesize information for leadership decision-making.
• Create reliable backup, restoration, and recovery systems.
• Execute data retention tasks according to performance objectives.
• Test and install IAVA compliance items.
• Troubleshoot, perform tuning, and resolve problems as necessary.
