Make Ready Design Engineer

Requirements:

• Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in electrical distribution related to utility assets.
• Strong knowledge of NESC standards.
• Experience with overhead communication attachments.
• Familiarity with IKE Office, Katapult, and similar design tools.
• Experience with Pole Foreman, O-Calc is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Access, and Word.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to pass Background and Drug Screening.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret data from field collection, including photos and notes.
• Apply NESC and electrical distribution construction standards.
• Analyze field data and make design recommendations according to standards.
• Perform QA/QC throughout the design process.
• Prepare necessary documentation for construction packages.
• Generate sketches and BOMs in AutoCAD.
• Meet or exceed project deadlines.
• Travel for occasional meetings and training as needed.
