Requirements:
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 0 to 5 years or more of relevant experience
  • Fluency in spoken and written French
  • Basic knowledge of the MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel...)
Responsibilities:
  • Take part in the design of schematics, implementation plans and the development of the protection philosophy
  • Contribute to large-scale electrical energy projects
  • Work in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Develop skills by working with experienced professionals, particularly on substation and renewable energy projects
  • Testing & Commissioning (T&C)
  • Designing electrical power systems and their layout in the various substations.
  • Participating in the design of electrical systems, including diagrams and layout plans for electrical equipment such as medium-voltage cabinets, high-voltage equipment, etc.
  • Preparing project deliverables such as plan views, elevations, including detail drawings, miscellaneous layouts, diagrams, etc.
  • Carrying out or validating calculations for sizing equipment, selecting power cable gauges, etc.
  • Protection & Control (P&C)
  • Design protection & control systems using 2D (AutoCAD) & CAD (E3) software.
  • Prepare project deliverables, including detail drawings, electrical diagrams, layouts, equipment sizing, etc.
  • Collaborate with members of the engineering team and project managers from other disciplines
  • Prepare plans, drawings and calculations on the basis of supplied specifications
  • Participate in the development of electrical Control and Protection systems, including one-line diagrams, logic diagrams, AC three-wire diagrams, DC protection and control diagrams, wiring drawings, equipment connection drawings, assembly drawings, material lists and specifications for the manufacture and on-site installation of Control and Protection panels.
  • Participating in the design of AC and DC power systems, including single-line diagrams, AC and DC load calculations, distribution diagrams, connection drawings for chargers, batteries, inverters, etc.
  • Other Responsibilities
  • Participate in site surveys (substations)
  • Coordinate with engineering disciplines: civil, mechanical and building in order to develop optimised and advanced design solutions for substation systems and power plants
  • Possibility of carrying out occasional site work when the opportunity arises (commissioning or supervision)
