Background in technical sales within Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, with a solid understanding of Refrigeration systems and components.
Prior experience as a technician in the Refrigeration industry is highly preferred.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently (up to 50%) for customer visits and occasionally to corporate headquarters for sales meetings and events.
In-depth technical understanding of Copeland and competitor products, with the ability to effectively communicate and educate others.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities to engage with customers, wholesalers, and contractors.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools like Salesforce.
Strong decision-making, organizational, and time-management abilities.
Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain focus on results, knowing when to escalate issues to your supervisor.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities:
Achieve and exceed sales targets for assigned wholesaler headquarters and branch locations within your territory.
Provide in-depth technical knowledge and support on Copeland products, including compressors, condensing units, and parts, to both wholesalers and contractors.
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers.
Actively participate in headquarter meetings with wholesalers, providing valuable insights on product forecasts and contributing to the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process.
Gather information and conduct competitive benchmarking to understand market trends and identify opportunities for growth.
Lead both in-person and hybrid training sessions on Copeland products, assisting wholesalers and contractors in increasing their technical knowledge. Promote and contribute to the Copeland Technical Training Program.
Serve as the escalation point for customer concerns, ensuring swift resolution and fostering a positive customer experience.
Work closely with internal teams, including operations, marketing, product planning, and engineering, to deliver world-class solutions and meet customer needs.
Maintain up-to-date records of customer information, projects, and competitive intelligence within Salesforce.
Identify and capitalize on new product opportunities in compression and refrigeration condensing units to expand Copeland's presence in your territory.
