Requirements:
  • 5+ years in government affairs, policy analysis, or a related field (within government, think tanks, public interest groups, law, or industry associations).
  • Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, build consensus, and make informed decisions.
  • In-depth understanding of tech policy, including online safety, content moderation, privacy, and AI (knowledge of global policy trends would be a plus).
  • Ability to monitor, interpret, and synthesize complex legislative proposals for executive audiences (knowledge of AI-led working tools would be a plus).
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Public Policy, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Establish and oversee Pinterest’s PAC, build strategic relationships with political campaigns, and lead PAC-related activities.
  • Oversee the tracking and management of global legislative issues and co-ordinate collaboration and interdependencies.
  • Analyze, assess, and share policy updates and align on action items with product, trust & safety, legal, and communications teams. Work with a range of teams inside Pinterest to align strategies and communicate timely updates and insights on worldwide policy trends to inform decision-making.
  • Advise on our global policy narratives, ensuring Pinterest’s voice is heard on key issues like online safety, AI, content moderation, and privacy. Monitor key legislative and regulatory developments across global markets.
  • Represent Pinterest at government affairs forums, industry associations, and public events.
  • Produce PAC and public policy reports and presentations for senior leaders.
