Minimum 60 semester hours completed in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar.
Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level ABET accredited engineering program with a minimum GPA of 3.2/4.
Experience writing code in python is required.
Knowledge of electrical engineering concepts and theories is strongly preferred.
Coursework or prior internship experience in data science, python programming, or power engineering is strongly preferred.
Introductory knowledge of relevant software including ETAP, and similar is preferred.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Efficient time management โ must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently, including prioritizing, organizing, and planning effectively to meet all deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Gain skill in specialized software tools including ETAP and other power system software use in the design of utility-scale renewable energy power plant facilities.
Utilizing Python or other programming languages, create or modify process automations to assist Power Systems departmental tasks.
Acquire knowledge of PV & BESS system components such as modules, racking, inverters and Balance of Systems (BOS).
May be required to support the creation of models and performance of analyses for Utility-scale renewable energy projects.
Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes.
Work under the direction of full-time staff.
Perform essential duties including meeting deliverables and deadlines.
Perform additional duties as assigned or directed.
