Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a call center environment; healthcare revenue cycle experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience with Electronic Health Record systems (EHRs), Call Center and phone systems.
  • Strong computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet, and Email.
  • Strong understanding of major health insurance carriers (in and out-of-network).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Demonstrated professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive patient information.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to type fluently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional manner, specifically exhibiting empathy and compassion.
Responsibilities:
  • Handle Revenue Cycle department interactions via phone, email, voicemail, faxes, and patient portal.
  • Communicate with offices and patients to ensure current information.
  • Process payment requests from patients.
  • Accurately update insurance plan and other portal information for patients as requested.
  • Support leadership with reporting needs.
  • Answer patient questions regarding their accounts and centers.
  • Resolve account challenges and communicate troubleshooting steps.
  • Identify revenue cycle challenges and escalate as necessary.
  • Review billing transactions for accuracy.
