Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a call center environment; healthcare revenue cycle experience strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with Electronic Health Record systems (EHRs), Call Center and phone systems.
- Strong computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet, and Email.
- Strong understanding of major health insurance carriers (in and out-of-network).
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Demonstrated professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive patient information.
- Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to type fluently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional manner, specifically exhibiting empathy and compassion.
Responsibilities:
- Handle Revenue Cycle department interactions via phone, email, voicemail, faxes, and patient portal.
- Communicate with offices and patients to ensure current information.
- Process payment requests from patients.
- Accurately update insurance plan and other portal information for patients as requested.
- Support leadership with reporting needs.
- Answer patient questions regarding their accounts and centers.
- Resolve account challenges and communicate troubleshooting steps.
- Identify revenue cycle challenges and escalate as necessary.
- Review billing transactions for accuracy.
