Requirements:
  • Certification in QA methodologies (e.g., ISTQB)
  • Significant experience in software quality assurance, including experience in defining test strategies.
  • Experience with performance and security testing.
  • Experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with testing tools
  • Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (we use GitHub Actions) and their integration with test automation.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to drive quality improvements.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with senior developers and the CTO to design and document comprehensive test strategies.
  • Define quality metrics and establish processes for test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Execute hands-on testing, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
  • Develop, document, and maintain detailed test cases, scripts, and test data.
  • Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring their resolution in collaboration with developers.
  • Establish QA processes and frameworks to support current and future testing needs.
  • Recommend tools and best practices to improve the QA lifecycle.
  • Develop reusable test automation scripts and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with developers, implementation teams, Head of Product, and the CTO to ensure alignment on quality objectives.
  • Provide clear and concise test status updates, highlighting risks and quality concerns.
  • Act as an advocate for quality, influencing decisions to prioritise high standards throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in software testing.
  • Proactively suggest improvements to enhance testing efficiency and product reliability.
