Senior Revenue Accountant

Requirements:

• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with revenue accounting under IFRS 15 in a software/licensing/SAAS environment.
• Technical accounting skills related to UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience in working within a fast-paced, multi-currency environment.
• Ability to present complex information clearly to finance and non-finance audiences.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong Excel skills and aptitude for financial reporting systems.
• 2+ years post-qualified accountant experience (ACA/ACCA).

Responsibilities:

• Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes related to revenue and accounts receivable.
• Ensure high technical standards and accounting compliance with IFRS 15.
• Act as a subject matter expert on internal projects affecting revenue recognition.
• Collaborate with commercial finance teams to analyze contracts and determine correct revenue treatments.
• Oversee the accounting aspects of contracts, including accruals, deferrals, and revenue recognition.
• Develop and maintain group revenue recognition policies and procedures.
• Engage in process improvement initiatives to maintain strong controls around billing and revenue.
• Support the credit controller in managing potential bad debts.
