Requirements:
  • Doctorate degree and 4 years of market access and/or payer experience OR Master’s degree and 8 years of market access and/or payer experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of market access and/or payer experience
  • Experience working in the cardiovascular space (preferred)
  • International launch experience (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of the payer environment in the US and major ex-US countries, including coverage and reimbursement, pricing, health technology assessment, and healthcare policy.
  • Ability to conduct situation analysis of external pricing and reimbursement environment and synthesize relevant information to develop strategic plans and formulate price policy recommendations
  • Ability to develop and test value messages and value evidence with payers in order to determine the most compelling way in which to demonstrate and communicate product value to payers
  • Ability to translate complex situation and pricing analyses to effectively communicate impact to Amgen business
  • Ability to manage in a highly fluid, interactive, matrixed environment and build strong, successful business partnerships with affiliate, regional and global colleagues
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think and plan strategically, identify strategic options and trade-offs and bring structure to vaguely defined problems
  • Excellent oral/written communications skills and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
  • Represent payers’ needs and perspectives on the multi-disciplinary Product Team (PT).
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional efforts within Global Value Access (GV&A) in order to support the access planning process, including the situation analysis, creation of access strategies, identification of critical success factors, development of pricing guidance and maintenance of price policy.
  • Collaborate with the PT to reflect payer-value drivers in the assessment and design of the Olpasiran LCM pivotal trials and key evidence generation projects.
  • Lead access launch readiness and execution of the global access strategy, with significant interaction with top 10 markets and sub-regions.
  • Be responsible for pricing and access assumptions in global revenue forecasts for select products.
  • Oversee and conduct relevant payer/pricing market research and Value Evidence Generation (with HEOR) and integrate clinical, market and payer information to develop and communicate the access plan.
  • Work collaboratively across functions to ensure a comprehensive view of their assigned products and create and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
