Requirements:
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the financial services industry, with a strong background in advisor custody or related sectors (e.g., RIA platforms, custodians, asset management, fintech solutions)
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and building relationships with RIAs and financial advisory firms
  • Deep understanding of the advisor custody landscape, including regulatory requirements, operational challenges, and competitive offerings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex solutions in a clear and compelling manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and trust quickly with clients
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and drive results in a remote, territory-based role
  • Comfortable using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), presentation tools, and other technology platforms essential to the sales process
Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities with RIAs, financial advisors, and other wealth management firms within the West region
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients, acting as a trusted partner to help them leverage Betterment Advisor Solutions’ custody solutions
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy that aligns with company goals, market demands, and client needs, ensuring consistent performance in meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Proactively manage your sales pipeline, identifying and prioritizing key opportunities within the West territory, while managing time effectively across a wide geographic region
  • Work closely with the product, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless experience for clients and prospects, from first contact through onboarding
  • Stay current on trends and regulatory changes in the advisor custody space, with a particular focus on the needs and challenges of RIAs and financial advisors in the West
  • Provide regular updates on sales activities, including pipeline updates, revenue forecasts, and competitive intelligence, to senior leadership
