Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a PhD in computer science, machine learning, software engineering, or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning, including academic experience.
• Experience writing grants or competitive proposals for funding.
• Knowledge of business development.
• Proven entrepreneurial mindset and passion for learning emerging ML technology.
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Ability to lead, coach, and mentor junior data scientists and engineers.
• Experience with advanced data analytics and statistical models.
• Practical applications of machine learning techniques such as Clustering, Logistic Regression, Random Forests, SVM, or Neural Networks.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks like Tensorflow, Pytorch.
• Experience in evaluating, training, and deploying machine learning models.
• Experience in Python and Jupyter Notebooks.
• Knowledge of Graph Database(s) or Knowledge Graphs.
• Knowledge of cloud-based platforms such as AWS.
• Experience with Agile software development techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct creative and inquisitive research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities in Machine Learning and Data Science.
• Lead proposal writing for new opportunities with government R&D organizations and commercial companies.
• Champion AI/ML initiatives to technical and non-technical partners.
• Serve as the AI subject matter expert for teams on advanced R&D projects.
• Develop and evaluate algorithms to understand multi-modal data.
• Provide vision across the portfolio and ensure roadmap relevance.
• Work closely with customers to incorporate feedback into products.
• Collaborate with renowned academic and industry researchers.
