Requirements:
  • JD degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • Active bar membership in good standing, preferably in North Carolina, Georgia, Wisconsin, Louisiana, or California.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience including 1–2 years in campaign finance or nonprofit tax compliance.
  • Experience advising on issues affecting 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and PAC organizations.

Responsibilities:
  • Primary legal contact for all legal matters related to the organization’s operations and entities.

  • Conduct legal reviews of canvassing literature and voter outreach materials.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, grant agreements, and other legal documents.

  • Serve as liaison for outside counsel and advise staff on compliance matters.
