- Law degree (JD, LLB, LLM, etc.) and local licensure in your jurisdiction, ideally with experience in multiple jurisdictions.
- 10+ years of legal experience, preferably with a top law firm or in-house, including 5+ years of in-house product counseling experience.
- Experience with intermediary liability and online safety issues, including compliance with international regulations like the EU Digital Services Act.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent judgment and analytical skills.
- Ability to assess risk strategically and help clients manage risk while achieving their goals.
- Program/project management skills to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with various teams.
- Advise Reddit’s consumer product teams through all stages of product development on how to navigate potential legal risks.
- Analyze new and existing regulations relevant to Reddit’s consumer products and translate legal requirements into product requirements.
- Serve as a strategic partner to help product teams anticipate and plan for future regulatory requirements.
- Develop strong cross-functional relationships and deep product knowledge.
