Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll supervisory roles.
  • Experience in payroll preparation, balancing, internal controls, and payroll taxes.
  • Knowledge of US multi-state and multi-jurisdiction taxes and labor laws.
  • Experience with PEO, TriNet preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft PC environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • CPP certification a plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Process Multi-State full cycle weekly payrolls including data entry, validation, employee payments, and report outputs.
  • Prepare and submit required payroll outputs including payroll tax filings.
  • Prepare certified payrolls in compliance with government regulations.
  • Stay updated with payroll laws and regulations.
  • Analyze and resolve payroll issues, discrepancies, and inquiries.
  • Collaborate with HR, accounting, and project management teams.
  • Process off-cycle payrolls as needed.
