Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or similar roles.
• Expert knowledge of PHP and differences between versions.
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript and multiple frameworks.
• Experience in WordPress and WooCommerce theme/plugin development is a plus.
• Familiar with performance scaling including clusters, caching, etc.
• Expert knowledge of multiple analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of supporting LAMP stack on AWS.
• Self-motivated and innovative.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Curious and willing to try new ideas.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in a driven engineering team.
• Architect and plan complex technical initiatives/integrations.
• Document software and infrastructure changes for complex projects.
• Provide a long-term roadmap of architectural improvements.
• Advocate best practices in software engineering.
• Work on ecommerce platform (WooCommerce, PHP, Node, Next).
• Design and architect various tech stacks to support ecommerce.
• Identify improvements and execute plans leading to quick deployment.
• Think critically and propose overall software/infrastructure enhancements.
• Experiment with new technologies and educate teammates.
• Implement and improve automated testing platforms.
• Propose and lead development of new platform features.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their growth.
• Execute technically challenging and critical projects.
