Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years experience in software engineering or similar roles.
• Expert knowledge of PHP and differences between versions.
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript and multiple frameworks.
• Experience in WordPress/WooCommerce theme/plugin development is a plus.
• Familiar with performance scaling (caching, network communications, etc.).
• Expert knowledge of multiple analytics platforms.
• Knowledge about supporting the LAMP stack on AWS.
• Self-motivated and a team player.
• Clear communication skills and a desire to lead and mentor.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in a driven engineering team.
• Architect and plan complex technical initiatives/integrations.
• Document software and infrastructure changes required for complex projects.
• Understand current architecture and provide a long-term roadmap.
• Advocate for Software Engineering best practices.
• Plan, build, test, and deploy new features.
• Work primarily on ecommerce platform (WooCommerce, PHP, Node, Next).
• Design and architect various tech stacks for ecommerce.
• Identify improvements and execute plans for deployment.
• Propose and lead development of new platform features.
• Mentor junior engineers.
